Put Math on your resume!
So, as I was updating my resume for summer internships, I came across a linkedin infographic about the top skills of 2015 (the article addressed 2016.) Take a look at number 2.
Linkedin says,
"Our top skill category last year, statistical analysis and data mining, is still sitting comfortably at #2. It is the only skill category that is consistently ranked in the top 4 across all of the countries we analyzed. We still live in an increasingly data-driven world, and businesses are still aggressively hiring experts in data storage, retrieval and analysis."

Statistical Analysis and data mining: does that sound anything like your QR or Math Lit class? It should. analyzing data is the heart of our classes, folks. Like that problem we looked at on Thursday: anybody remember how many kids in that class were allergic to homework? We literally mined the data. Looking at different types of graphs, finding the number of people in a population: these are literal real world skills that you can take a moment to add to your resume right now. You are already that much more employable: give yourself a pat on the back.
